If you have been searching for NFL FLAG football in Pittsburgh, you are in the right place. Pittsburgh NFL League is the official NFL FLAG affiliate serving Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania since 2004. Signing up is straightforward. Here is exactly how it works.
Step 1: Visit pittsburghnflleague.com
All registration is done online. The registration page is open for the Spring 2027 season right now. You do not need to call ahead or show up in person to register.
Step 2: Choose the Right Division for Your Child
Division placement is based on your child's age as of August 1 (August 1, 2026 for Spring 2027). Rookie League is for ages 4 through 6. The Coed Division is for ages 7 through 14. The All-Girls Division is open to girls ages 7 through 17 including high school players.
Step 3: Complete Registration and Pay Online
Complete the registration form and pay the fee online. After registering you will receive a confirmation with information about training camp dates and the draft.
Step 4: Attend Training Camp
Spring 2027 opening week is April 1 to 4, 2027 across all four PNL locations. Not mandatory, but strongly encouraged for all players, especially those new to the league.
Step 5: Attend the PNL Live Draft
The PNL Live Draft takes place on Thursday and Friday of the third week of April. Players are split across the two nights based on registration numbers. Every registered player gets placed on a team. There are no cuts.
Step 6: Play!
First games run April 17 to 23, 2027, depending on your location. Playoffs are on Saturday in Penn Hills. Your child's coach will reach out after the draft to share the weekly practice day and schedule.
Financial Assistance Is Available
If registration fees are a barrier, we encourage you to apply for an NFL FLAG grant first at pittsburghnflleague.com/nflflagfunds. If your family does not qualify for the grant, PNL also has an internal financial assistance program.
