Since 2005, when our first girl joined what was then an all-boys program, Pittsburgh NFL League has been developing female flag football athletes. For nearly 20 years, we've been building skills and competition - long before most people knew women's flag football would become a college sport.
Today, our high school division (ages 14-18) is Pittsburgh's premier college recruiting pipeline with direct partnerships at Mercyhurst University, Allegheny College, Eastern University, and Slippery Rock University.
We play 5v5 format to maximize playing time and development - every athlete gets more touches, more opportunities, and more experience.
Whether you're from North Hills, South Hills, Mt. Lebanon, Cranberry Township, or anywhere in Western Pennsylvania, we prepare you for the next level.

Why 5v5 Format Makes Better Players
Join 5v5 NFL Flag Football That Maximizes Your Development
Unlike traditional 7v7 flag football, we play 5v5 to give every athlete more opportunities:
-
More touches per player - you'll handle the ball more often
-
Faster-paced games - more action, less waiting
-
More playing time - no sitting on the sideline
-
Every position matters - you're always in the action
With fewer players on the field, your role is bigger. You develop faster. College coaches at Mercyhurst, Allegheny, and Slippery Rock tell us they love recruiting from 5v5 programs because our athletes are used to being the "go-to" player.
In 5v5, there's nowhere to hide, and that's exactly why it prepares you for college competition.
PIAA High School Flag Football: Monday - Thursday
Pittsburgh NFL League: Saturday
No Conflicts. Play Both.
If you're playing for your high school's PIAA team, our Saturday league is the perfect complement:
- Play 14-16 PIAA games + 8-12 Saturday league games = 28+ total competitive games
- Double your exposure to college coaches (they watch both leagues)
- More game experience = faster skill development
- Keep your school commitments - we support that!
- Weekend games mean family can watch
Our Saturday schedule works for everyone with no weekday conflicts.
This is the only Saturday high school girls flag football league in Western Pennsylvania.
