Families in Verona, Oakmont and Plum Borough have a home for youth flag football just down the road. Linton Middle School in Penn Hills is home base for Pittsburgh NFL League, and on Saturdays it is where every PNL division plays.

Linton is the closest PNL field for Verona and Oakmont, and a short trip for Plum. Plum families also have a second option: Sundays at Boyce Park. Here is how both work, so you can choose the day that fits.

Why Linton is home base

Every Saturday in season, multiple fields at Linton run back to back games. It is where the PNL playoffs and championship games are played, and it is home to All-Star Weekend and the PNL Honors Ceremony. Games are streamed on the PNL YouTube channel from Field 1, so family members who cannot be there can still watch.

Linton Middle School is at 250 Aster Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. Park in the Linton lots off Aster Street, and plan to arrive 20 minutes early on your first game day.

Every division on one field

Linton is the only PNL site with every division. That matters for families with more than one child, and it matters for girls.

  • Rookie 6U: for ages 4 to 6, played only at Linton.

  • Coed divisions: 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U for boys and girls.

  • All-Girls League: 10U, 14U and HS Girls, played only at Linton.

A brother in 10U, a sister in the girls 14U division and a younger sibling in Rookie 6U can all play on the same Saturday at the same field. Divisions are based on your child's age as of August 1, 2026.

The Saturday season

  • Opening week: Saturday, April 3, 2027 at Linton

  • PNL Live Draft: Thursday and Friday of the third week of April. Players are split across the two nights based on registration numbers.

  • First games: Saturday, April 17

  • Playoffs: Saturday at Linton, with every PNL location

No experience is needed. Coaches teach the game from the first practice, and every player is drafted onto a balanced team. PNL provides the jersey and flag belt. Bring athletic clothes, a water bottle and cleats if your child has them. Schedules, field numbers and live scores are posted in PNL GameDay and the TeamLinkt app every week. See the Penn Hills location page for every detail.

The Sunday option: Boyce Park

Boyce Park Fields are on Pierson Run Road in Plum, right on the edge of Monroeville. Boyce Park is the closest PNL field for families in Plum, Murrysville, Trafford and Export, so some Plum Borough families will find it the easier drive.

  • Game day: Sundays

  • Divisions: coed 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U, for ages 7 to 14

  • Opening week: Sunday, April 4, 2027

  • First game: Sunday, April 18

  • Playoffs: Saturday at Linton, with the whole league

Boyce Park teams have made their mark. The Boyce Park Jets 8U and the Boyce Park Steelers 10U both won their regionals and qualified for the 2026 NFL FLAG Championships. Rookie 6U and the All-Girls League are not offered at Boyce Park. See the Boyce Park location page for more.

Saturday or Sunday?

  • Choose Linton on Saturdays if you have a child age 4 to 6, a daughter who wants a girls team, or several kids you want on one schedule.

  • Choose Boyce Park on Sundays if your child is 7 to 14 and your Saturdays are already busy.

  • Either way, your child plays in the same league, under the same rules, and finishes at the same Saturday playoffs at Linton.

More than a rec league

Pittsburgh NFL League has served Western Pennsylvania since 2004 and is the only league in Pennsylvania ever named NFL FLAG League of the Year.

Cost and financial help

Registration is $145, and the first 50 players across all four PNL locations pay $135. You can pay in full, or put $45 down and pay the rest in monthly or biweekly payments.

Families with a household income under $83,730 whose player is enrolled in Medicaid, SNAP or WIC can apply for the NFL FLAG Grant. A parent or guardian applies directly with RCX Sports by March 10, 2027. Our financial assistance page has more options.
